The New England weather can’t seem to decide if it’s winter or spring.  Let’s hope the warmer weather arrives soon!

Primary
After learning about music in different cultures in March, primary students have begun working on rhythmic patterns.  Students are learning how to draw notation as well as decode simple rhythms they hear and write them down.

Intermediate
Grade 4 will be learning about Sea Shanties and Ballads.  Ask them about “Cape Cod Shantey,” a song from our own state of Massachusetts!

All intermediate students will be learning how to count out rhythmic patterns and write and decode more difficult rhythmic patterns.                                                     

Junior High
Junior High students will be participating in drumming activities which will require them to read and play the rhythmic notation they see.
