Mr. Horenstein - Gym Teacher

First of all, a huge THANK YOU for a successful and hopefully enjoyable Spirit Day during Catholic Schools Week.  To the students, you worked hard to learn your dance routines and you really performed.  To the teachers, thank you for your help and allowing extra time to practice.  To parents, friends, and relatives in attendance, thanks for taking time out of your schedule to join us.  Finally, to the administration, thank you for your continued support and encouragement.

For the month of March, preschool thru grade 2 will be using deck rings and foam noodles.  Skills such as rolling, throwing, catching, and hitting will be presented.  A culmination of these skills will be games and relay races.

Grade 3 will be learning skills of floor hockey.  These skills will include shooting, passing and defense.  These skills will lead up to actual floor hockey games.

Grades 4 thru 8 will be building on floor hockey skills presented in previous years and round robin style games will be held.

As always, teamwork and good sportsmanship will be stressed at all levels of instruction and play.
