April 2, 2018

Dear Parents and students,

I hope you all had a joyous Easter Sunday.  I am sure the children did.  The snow today was not a surprise and I am glad it is almost gone already.  I want to thank all those who assisted with VIP Day and third grade’s endeavors for the Cultural Fair.  There was a wonderful crowd and our Eastern European food was wonderful.  I want to thank all those who sent something in.  There wasn’t much left.  The children have written thank you notes to all those who did send in something.  They have also written thank you notes to the Embassies and Dioceses who replied to their letters.  I am in the process of sorting and addressing in order to send them out.

April will be a busy month.  There are several exciting activities coming up.  In Social Studies we will be beginning our study of Massachusetts and New England.  We will be working with maps and hands-on projects to travel back in the past.  This will help prepare children for our Field Trip to Old Deerfield in May.  The Battle of the Books event is coming up swiftly.  Students will be doing some serious reading between now and May 8th.  Our posters are almost done and we have been practicing our questions.  We are all looking forward to the event.

Please enjoy the warmer weather and the beginning of spring.

Mrs. Moran
